A Locked Front Door, Then a Second Try Inside
Early one morning, cameras at a client’s building recorded a person with a backpack at the front entrance, pulling on the door. It stayed locked. Rather than leave, the person waited near the entrance until a chance came to get inside, according to Monitex Security. Once in, this person trying door handles caught on camera crossed the lobby and tried a second door. Cameras outside and inside picked up each step along the way.
Monitex Security’s monitoring team caught the activity as it happened and contacted the police, the team reports. A marked patrol car then pulls up outside, and officers walk up to the entrance and come in. The footage shows officers with the person by the doors, then walking out of the building with them.
A locked door only kept the person out until another chance came along. What changed the outcome was that someone was watching: operators saw one door tried, then a second, and had police on the way while the person was still inside.
