A Hooded Figure at a Hallway Door After Dark
Late one night, cameras at a client’s building recorded a person in dark, hooded clothing coming down a stairwell and into a ground-floor hallway. This building break-in caught on camera centers on a door marked with a red sign. The person leans into it, works at the handle and gets it open, stepping in and out of the doorway more than once.
The monitoring team detected the break-in as it happened and police were sent, according to Monitex Security. Outside, marked patrol cars pull up and officers walk to the entrance. Inside, they cross the lobby, head down the same hallway and check the open door with a flashlight.
The footage then follows officers walking a person down the hallway, back through the lobby and out onto the sidewalk. Monitex Security reports that the suspect was arrested.
Recorded footage alone would have shown this the next morning. Because operators were watching live, police reached the hallway while the person was still inside the building.
Keep Hallways and Utility Rooms Watched With Monitex Security
Monitex Security’s operators watch hallways, stairwells and lobbies live, 24/7. When someone tries a door that should stay shut, they check what’s happening on camera and contact police. See how our live video monitoring works, or reach out to our monitoring team.
